Since my sophomore year in college, my best friend and I have regularly trained hard in the gym. I introduced my friend to lifting weights and training in wrestling. Often, we would do both in a single day, lifting earlier in the day and attending wrestling practice in the evening. We are both dedicated to our fitness and competitive goals and enjoy the journey of it all.
As our class schedules intensified our junior year, we both were met with time scheduling struggles. Going to classes, the gym, wrestling practice, and any other responsibilities for the day became hard to manage. All the sudden neither of us were able to train twice a day, every single day. My roommate even had to take a break from wrestling as he was stacked with work between college classes and applying for law schools.
The high intensity nature of our workouts would always leave us a sweaty mess. We needed to eat and shower after exercising before moving onto our next task, but often did not have the time. Our tight schedules meant that we had to go to classes or be in public looking and smelling like we just ran a marathon. I quickly adapted the habit of bringing an extra shirt with me, as well as deodorant or cologne if I had my backpack with me. This seemed to help the problem at first, but I did not always bring a bag to the gym with me.
One day, after the gym my roommate showed me a new bracelet he got for his birthday. He said the bracelet was called an Aroma-Link, it contained a tiny fragrance vial within the bracelet. I was confused by the product as he walked off to his class. I was walking back to my car to get my deodorant when I realized the value of his new item. He would never have to deal with the scent of body odor during or after a workout because he always had an easily accessible solution.
I rushed to class but was still late after stopping at my car. I realized how perfect this bracelet item would be for by busy lifestyle. In the hurry of going to class I had already forgot the name of the bracelet by the time I decided to order one online. I quickly texted my friend to ask, he replied “Aroma-Link”. Finally, I thought to myself, my problem is solved. I also considered how many of my teammates and other friends might benefit from my friend’s discovery.
